Weathered
A recent project on portraits. What a fab face this guy has. It looks like he's been hung out in the sun to weather for about 60 years. Pencil and watercolour wash in neutral tint and raw umber
Inspired by the Davies Sisters' Collection of Impressionist Art
Well, this is basically a copy of a postcard I bought at Cardiff Art Museum which house the fabulous Davies' sisters collection of Art. Apologies to the original artist who I have conveniently forgotten, and here's my interpretation of his work.
Magnolia
This was taken from several photographs in black and white and recoloured by me - not your usual magnolia.
Llandeilo Bridge - 'Naive' Style
If ever there was an overdone subject in this area, it's Llandeilo Bridge. If you can beat 'em join em I say, but to keep it light I've put the tractor I always seem to be stuck behind when I go shopping (it's either a tractor or an HGV). There was originally a shark in the water, but that was vetoed by my husband. Spoilsport.
Welsh Farm - 'Naive' Style
Thanks goes to Brian James for the insipration for this piece of work. I like the sheep myself - just a bit of whimsy there.....
Oh Dear. My Poor Blog, I've Neglected You
Sorry I've not posted for AGES, lots of work, no time to play, but I do have a few goodies to post now. Firstly some more of my 'naive' style art.
